More Places, More Zombie, More Infections!

We had reports on 63 ZTBs since our last update. There were 572 hits outside the United States, in 29 countries including the following new countries to be affected: Japan, Estonia, Russia, Singapore, Morrocco, Turkey, Latvia, Lithuania and Cambodia. These were our first hits in southeast Asia, Asia Minor and northern Africa. Hotspots overseas (greater than 40 reports) included South Africa, Austria, Belgium, Canada, and Germany. Portugal, usually pretty active anyway, was well up over one hundred reports this time.

Here in the states, there were 1344 reports, in 27 of the fifty states, and the District of Columbia. Hotspots here included Pennsylvania and Missouri with over 50 hits each, and New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts with over 100 each. For those coming to Geo Woodstock next week, please be advised that Maryland is still extremely active with ZTBs, we had 526 hits here since the last report. Please come prepared!

With spring comes zombies

As the northern hemisphere continues to thaw, we continue to see an increase in activity. Since our last report, we had 489 hits in 18 states here in the U. S., and 92 hits in 14 other countries. 48 TBs were reported on in total, and the following areas were hotspots (greater than 20 hits in that locale): Maryland Wisconsin, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the states, Austria and Australia overseas. Oklahoma suffered a major outbreak on the eastern side of the state, with 217 hits in the Tulsa/Muskogee area. For those of youm planning to travel to Geowoodstock XIII, plea be warned that Maryland continues to be Ground Zero for the ZTB plague outbreak, and is very hazardous to geocachers. Keep safe out there!

ZTBs thawing

54 ZTBs have been reported since our last update, logging 851 hits in 16 countries and 24 states of the U. S. A. Hots spots (greater than 25 hits) were Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Florida and Maryland here in the states, and Australia and Portugal overseas. New areas within Australia, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Italy Portugal and Sweden were affected. We expect increased activity as the northern hemisphere heads into spring, and fear that Geowoodstock XIII will be a debacle.

Unplanned delay

We were working on our next update in mid-December, but were overrun by over 40 plague infected cachers at ZTB HQ. It has taken a while to recover some semblance of order here, our apologies. Since the last update, there were 1243 hits in the U.S.A., in 32 of the 50 states. Hot spots (more than fifty hits) included New York, Indiana, New jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Florida, Maryland (as always), Missouri, and West Virginia. There were another 362 hits spanning the globe in 18 other countries, including our first reports from Greece, the Netherlands and Costa Rica. Poland, The Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Norway all had new areas within their borders that became infected. Germany and Switzerland were the hot spots overseas. It just seems to continue to get worse. Single digit temperatures here today, and we continue to struggle on in fear. be careful out there. ZTB-HQ out.

Over a month.

Where to start? Nebraska fell. South Dakota is the only infection free state in the union at this point. France and Poland have also been infected. Hotspots (over 50 hits): New York, New Jersey, Germany, Canada, Maryland, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Norway. Big outbreak down south, initially near Atlanta (Rome Georgia Mega event was hit), but now seems more focused around Louisville Kentucky. We’re exhausted. Ammo and food running low. If you can spare any kind of help at all send it. ZTB-HQ out.

Hopefully this one gets out….

We think we’re going out, but we’re not quite sure yet; hopefully you’ll see this report. Overrun yet again, and had to relocate. We lost contact with survey team sent to NYC days ago. We have managed to get most of the equipment back up, and are still taking reports and collating data. In the ten days since we went down hard, here’s what we have: 391 reports on 54 individual ZTBs, in 9 states and 8 countries. Four mega events were infected during this period, the geocoinfest in Ulm, Germany, a mega in Catalunya, Spain, another coinfest in Texas, and a mega event in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Hotspots include New York City, New Jersey, Germany and Nova Scotia. Maryland. Did we mention Maryland? We’ve had intermittent communications with the CDC, and have concerns there is a new outbreak brewing down south, but so far no real news, only rumors, and we have no-one to spare to send another survey team out. It is looking pretty grim here, hope it is better where you are. ZTB-HQ out.

Quick turn around news flash

We’ve been trying to do these updates with more frequency, but time and zombies always seem to get in the way. The alarms are sounding as I type, apparently there is another horde at the door…

Over the last week or so, we’ve had reports on 32 ZTBs, with about 190 hits in ten states and eight different countries. New York City seems to be the new east coast hot-bed, although there continues to be a lot of….

activity here. A mega event in South South Africa was infected, as well as a major geocoin-fest in Germany, which is Europe’s zombie dread zone, along with Spain. We’re barely holding on here, with new ZTBs spawning nearly continuously and

Heavy activity in multiple areas, major outbreak in New York City!

In the 17 days since our last post, reports have been pouring in from around the globe about major activity in a variety of places. There =has been a new outbreak on the island of Aruba, in the Caribbean, and Germany and Spain have continued to see a great deal of activity, with over 75 reports from Germany alone. Here in the states, California and Nevada were hard hit, with nearly 400 reports between them, Iowa had nearly 200 hits, but the major news is that the situation on the east coast has been worsening considerably. Here at ZTB HQ in Maryland, the never ending hordes of ZTBs just continue to spawn as more and more cachers are affected. In New York City, in the space of only a week or so we had a whopping 561 reports, covering all five boroughs of the city, very distressing news, as with that kind of eruption we can only anticipate that the problem will grow. Overall, 31 different places were affected over the period of this report, including 13 different countries and nineteen states here in the Unites States. We heard reports of 53 ZTBs, an unusually high number. Cache with a stout walking sticks folks!
